Gateway Lodge is a rustic luxury resort that includes rooms, suites, 12 cabins, an on-site restaurant, conference center, and spa. The rooms have private bathrooms, the suites have gas fireplaces, fireside jetted tubs, and private balconies. The rustic forest cabins, each with a fireplace and wooded setting, will be as well a great experience for you to stay close to nature.

The delicious country breakfast is served in the lodge’s hewn-log dining room. The restaurant offers an excellent five-course chef-tasting menu, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices, and over 130 high-rating wines.

There is the lodge’s Great Room with its log beams, wood-burning hearth, intimate seating areas, and an outdoor deck surrounded by forest views.

Staying in Gateway Lodge, you should definitely visit Cook Forest State Park, a National Natural Landmark! It is a beautiful park with 30 miles of wonderful trails to hike, huge trees, rock formations, a waterfall, and lots of activities for all ages. Enjoy exploring the forest trails and the shores of Clarion River. Go fishing (there is even a small stocked fishing pond for the kids), boating, canoeing, kayaking, biking, horseback riding, and golfing!

Feel free to climb the fire tower to see one of the best spectacular views of the forest, take a swim in the Cook Forest pool, have your meal in a picnic area, or see a show in the Sawmill Theater.
