Hocking Hills State Park⁠ is one of the most scenic parks in Ohio. It is excellent for anyone looking to get away for a weekend and enjoy gorgeous hiking trails with natural rock formations and lovely waterfalls.

There is also a beautiful Rose Lake inside the park. Very nice, calm, and quiet place to sit and fish.

In addition, the surrounding area has a lot of kid-friendly activities, such as ziplining, a scenic railway, a glass museum, and much more (see below).

In the winter months, the park is also worth visiting. You can see huge icicles hanging from frozen waterfalls and snow-covered trees. Hike the winter trails, or go ice-fishing. Dress warm!

There is no charge for entry to the park, but camping needs to be reserved ahead of time. Be sure to reserve a place well in advance because it is a popular spot.
